the hub history

When two realities deeplare goals values and practices, they're always going to do beautiful projects together. This is what is happened with the setting up of the interiors of The Hub Milan, first italian example of an international network of coworkin centers, born in London in the 2005 and now spreading all over the world.

All the young and innovative companies that start and grow up inside of this network believe in sustainability, partecipation and coworking and are looking for their way to build a better world and make money with it.

The location of The Hub Milan is a beautiful space of 600 squaremeters on 3 levels in via Paolo Sarpi 8.

The project started with a coworking workshop with the future members of the hub, held by Oliver Marlowe, london designer and founder of the network.

After collecting all the inputs, suggestions, visions and wishes of the future users along with a group of designer and architects lead by the italian architect Marta Pietroboni we developed the project e defined the construction method.

After that on the 23 november the adventure started. we went fishing scrap material and for a month the hub space turned into a crazy, dusty and happy cobuilding workshop, where the future members, friends and artists whit our help and tools had the chance to build libraries, giant letters, platforms, magic walls, tables, swinging chairs and a scrapwooden tree.

Once again the partecipated way lead to the creation of beautiful and deep relations based on friendship, cooperation, mutual aid, fun and creative expression of everyboby.

Everyone now can test how deeply all of this imprint the atmosphere of the space and the spirit of the objects.
